This is a place for me to keep notes while cooking and baking in the kitchen, often adapting or creating recipes to be dairy and wheat-free. It's also a place for my ramblings about playing and learning with my kids and my efforts towards a greener and healthy life.

Maple Oven Baked Salmon
Found a new recipe for salmon tonight - it was a winner!!
Here is the source: Maple Salmon Recipe
I substituted gluten-free soya sauce. I used an organic amber maple syrup. I used 2 cloves of garlic and just a dash of garlic salt (which I would just leave out next time). I cooked it in the glass pan covered in foil for 15 minutes at 400. Then took foil off and broiled at 400 for 5 minutes. Wasn't quite done, so I went back to bake for another 5 minutes at 400 and then left in the oven for a few extra minutes. Each time I checked it, I basted the fish in the extra sauce around it. I served it with rice. Delicious and easy!
